Asante Kotoko have suffered a huge blow in their title challenge following a 2-0 defeat at the hands of Dreams FC.
A win would have sent the Porcupines in second with two points behind league leaders, Aduana Stars but they stumbled at the Dawu Park.
14th minute Aholou Avocevou opener put the host in the lead in the first half.
Kotoko came into the second half fighting to restore parity but forward Agyenim Boateng had other ideas.
He struck around the hour mark to double the lead for Dreams FC.
Zito’s side held firm to claim all three points which moves them up to ninth with 23 points.
Asante Kotoko sit third, five points adrift of Aduana FC who occupy the summit of the table.
