Bernard Mensah becomes third play to score 10 Saudi league goals in Al-Tai history

Ghana midfielder Bernard Mensah has become the third player to score ten Saudi Pro League goals in the history of Al-Tai.

This was after his fabulous solo strike in their 4-1 defeat to Al-Ahli Saudi on Saturday in the round 21 game at the Prince Abdul Aziz bin Musa-ed Stadium.

The other players to score ten goals in the club’s three seasons in the Saudi top flight are Algerian forward Amir Sayoud and Congolese striker Guy Mbenza.

Sayoud needed 27 games to score 10 goals in the Saudi Pro League – that is 10 games more than Bernard Mensah needed to score ten.

Meanwhile, Guy Mbenza also needed 29 games to score 10 goals, 12 more than Bernard Mensah.

The Ghanaian signed for Al-Tai in the summer after leaving Kayserispor when his contract expired and has been the club’s best player by a mile.

He is unavailable to play for the Black Stars at the moment after calling time on his international career.
