Berekum Chelsea FC will be taking their pre-season preparation to the nation’s capital as they prepare for the upcoming season, the club has confirmed.
The Berekum-based side commenced their pre-season preparation at the Berekum Golden City Park a few weeks ago and are moving to Accra to continue with a series of matches lined-up for their reshaping.
The 2010 Ghana League champions have secured the signatures of experienced players including former captain Abdul Basit Mohammed, Prince Bobby and former Starlets striker Saddick Adams.
Speaking to Ghanasoccernet.com o the pre-season activities of the team, Communications Manager of the former Premier League champions said “The team is moving to Accra to continue our pre-season preparations and I can confirm that.”
“We will play against Inter Allies on Monday and Dreams FC on Tuesday to test the strength of the team and the fitness levels of our new players. All the matches will be played at the Tema Sports Stadium,” he added.
Berekum Chelsea finished fourth in the 2014/15 league season and are hoping to better their performance in the upcoming season.
