Hearts of Oak goalkeeper Benjamin Asare has joined the Black Stars camp in Japan ahead of Friday’s international friendly against the Samurai Blue in the Kirin Challenge Cup.
The experienced shot-stopper arrived on Thursday morning and is expected to participate in the team’s final training session later today at the Toyota Stadium in Aichi.
Asare’s arrival completes Ghana’s 22-man squad for the tour. The Hearts goalkeeper was instrumental during the Black Stars’ qualification for the 2026 FIFA World Cup, making six appearances and keeping five clean sheets.
Ghana will face Japan on Friday, November 14, before taking on South Korea four days later as part of preparations for next year’s World Cup in the United States, Canada, and Mexico.
