Benjamin Agyare sets sights on engraving his name in Hearts of Oak record books

Hearts of Oak defender Benjamin Agyare hopes to add his name into the club’s record books by delivering a piece of silverware.

The silky guardsman joined the Phobians in a big money move from second-tier side Heart of Lions during the off-season.

Agyare’s ball playing abilities has helped him establish himself as the first choice centre-back alongside captain Inusah Musah in the ongoing Ghana Premier League.

Despite his terrific start to Hearts of Oak career, the 23-year-old is staying grounded as he aims to win laurels with the club.

“It is not easy to be recognized among the lot. Ghana is blessed with exceptional talents and each clamour for the opportunity to play for Hearts and Kotoko,” he told 442gh.com

“So for me to be spotted and selected among an array of talents is enough for me to be grateful to God. It is an honour to play for Hearts – I’m really honoured.”

“I will give out my all to ensure a permanent place in the team and help the team win laurels as a sign of gratitude for the confidence reposed in me,” he added.
