Bechem United’s Mohammed Aminu Targets Black Stars Return

New Bechem United signing Mohammed Aminu says he is determined to reignite his career and earn a place in Ghana’s senior national team, the Black Stars, as he gears up for the 2025/26 Ghana Premier League season.

The 23-year-old forward, a former Ghana U-17 star, once secured a reported $1.5 million transfer to Manchester City after his standout performances for WAFA at the 2017 FIFA U-17 World Cup in India. Now back in the local league, he is eager to make an impact with the Hunters.

“Everybody here at Bechem wants to help me get back on track, so I’m very happy to be here,” Aminu told the club’s media team after his unveiling.

“My target for the season is to score a lot of goals, help my teammates, and hopefully earn a call-up to the Black Stars.”

Bechem United open their 2025/26 campaign with a tough away clash against reigning champions Bibiani GoldStars at the DUN’s Park.
