Bechem United are set to appoint experienced Ghanaian coach Kwabena Amissah as their new head coach following the dismissal of Desmond Issah-Botchway, according to Asempa FM.

The Hunters have endured a difficult start to the Ghana Premier League season, managing just one win in eight matches, a run that has left them hovering near the relegation zone.

Last weekend’s goalless draw against Nations FC proved the final straw for the outgoing technical team, with assistant coach Bright Anthony Konadu also relieved of his duties.

Amissah renowned for guiding Bibiani GoldStars to their first-ever Premier League promotion is expected to be unveiled alongside Mallam Yahaya, who will serve as his deputy.

The veteran tactician, who has also coached Elmina Sharks, Sekondi Hasaacas, and Berekum Chelsea, will face an early test when Bechem United travel to face Young Apostles on Matchday 9 this weekend.
