Heart of Lions head coach Bashir Hayford is expecting a tricky test when his side faces Na God FC in the MTN FA Cup Round of 32 in midweek.
The Ghana Premier League outfit will host the lower-division side on Wednesday, January 7, at the Kpando Sports Stadium, with a place in the next round of the competition at stake.
Speaking ahead of the encounter, Hayford cautioned his players against complacency, insisting that Na God FC must be treated with full respect despite their lower-league status.
“Well, it will be a tricky encounter because if you think they are a first division team and you underrate them, you will have yourself to blame,” Hayford told Heart of Lions TV.
“And so we are not underrating them. We are preparing like we have been preparing for all our matches. Although things are not going as well as we expect, we are preparing very well for this encounter.”
The experienced tactician stressed that maximum commitment will be required from his players if Heart of Lions are to secure progression in the knockout competition.
The match is scheduled to kick off at 3:00 pm on Wednesday at the Kpando Sports Stadium.
