Former Managing Director of Accra Hearts of Oak, Frederick Moore has entreated Daniel Afriyie Barnieh to pen a contract extension with the club.
Barnieh’s contract situation has been a topic of discussion following the players’ reported reluctance to extend his stay with the Phobians.
The youngster has been discussing his future with the Ghanaian giants for the past year but there is yet to be a major breakthrough in the negotiations.
The 21-year-old whose current contract expires on December 17 is being chased by a host of clubs abroad.
“I am glad and grateful for what he’s given Hearts of Oak but I would be more grateful to him if he can come to a compromise as to what needs to be done in the contract negotiations.” Moore said in an interview with Oyerepa FM.
Barnieh was part of the Black Stars squad that represented Ghana at the FIFA World Cup in Qatar.
He is expected to return to Hearts of Oak after the Black Galaxies squad were told to return to their respective clubs ahead of the Ghana Premier League resumption.
