Ghanaian forward Daniel Afriyie Barnieh has officially started life at Swiss Challenge League side FC Aarau, taking part in his first training session on Tuesday.
The 24-year-old, who recently parted ways with FC Zürich, expressed his excitement in a message to fans, saying he’s eager to get started and build chemistry with his new teammates.
Barnieh signed a two-year deal with Aarau after mutually terminating his contract with Zürich, where he made 50 appearances but struggled for consistent starts.
The former Hearts of Oak star now looks to revive his European career with Aarau, who are eyeing promotion to the Swiss top flight.
