An altogether telling update on the wellbeing of Barcelona star Ansu Fati has been forthcoming on Friday evening.
This past season, of course, proved one to forget for youngster Ansu.
This came as the gifted attacker managed to string together a paltry three La Liga starts, owing to a host of injury issues, largely in his hamstrings.
Nevertheless, Ansu’s form when on the pitch remained impressive, with the 19-year-old having racked up a none-too-shabby six goals across all competitions over the campaign’s length.
In turn, upon Ansu taking to the pitch in some capacity in each of Barca’s last five La Liga outings of the term, the widespread hope was that the Spanish international was out of the woods when it comes to fitness, primed to explode back onto the world football scene in 2022/23.

It therefore came as a major concern for the Blaugrana faithful to hear that, late last month, fresh fears began to spread regarding Ansu’s long-term prospects.
Speculation in the Spanish media pointed towards lingering concerns at the Camp Nou that the teen had made the wrong decision in turning down the opportunity to undergo surgery, remaining some way off full fitness as a result.
If the ensuing updates to have come to the fore on Friday are anything to go by, however, then Barca need not fret.
As per a report from Javi Miguel of Diario AS, Ansu has ‘once and for all left behind the ghosts of his injury’.
The Spaniard is understood to have returned to pre-season training alongside the rest of Xavi’s squad earlier this week, with it noted that his form, thus far, ‘could not have been better’.
Ansu is in ‘excellent’ shape both from a mental and physical standpoint, in turn expected to kick on to prove himself an indispensable member of the Blaugrana’s attacking ranks once more over the weeks and months ahead.
