Baffoe played a key role in convincing Boateng to pick Ghana for his international future ahead of Germany and says despite reports of delays in the finalisation of the switch, he is certain the Portsmouth midfielder will be turning out for Ghana in South Africa.
“I am a 100 per cent convinced Boateng will play for Ghana in South Africa,” Baffoe told KickOffGhana.com. “I have never had any doubts about that.”
Baffoe, born in Germany to Ghanaian parents became a national hero after ignoring the advances of Germany to play in two Nations Cups for Ghana in the early 90s.
He has recently played a key role in convincing players of Ghanaian decent in Europe like Boateng to commit their international future to the Black Stars and is confident the Boateng chase is worth it.
“Boateng will definitely add quality to the team. He is strong, is technically sound and has great ball control. I am convinced that with him, the team will be stronger.”
