Former Ghana midfielder Emmanuel Agyemang Badu has expressed optimism about the future of women’s football in Ghana under the leadership of the Kurt Okraku-led Ghana Football Association (GFA).
Badu praised the GFA’s efforts in promoting the women’s game, citing the recent success of the Black Queens at the 2024 Women’s Africa Cup of Nations.
“I have been visiting some of the clubs and watching some of the games. You can see they have done a great job. We can do more. The way they have started, I think if things are going on well, we need to commend the FA for what they have done. And that is what we see in our Black Queens,” Badu said to Citi Sports.
He believes that with continued progress, Ghana can achieve even more in the women’s game, and commends the FA’s work, evident in the performances of clubs and the national team.
