Ghanaian duo Jordan Ayew and Fatawu Issahaku will be working under a new manager next season following the dismissal of Ruud van Nistelrooy from Leicester City.
The 48-year-old Dutchman has officially been fired more than nine weeks after the Foxes were relegated from the Premier League.
His brief stint saw just five wins in 27 matches, with a staggering 19 defeats contributing to the club’s historic fall.
Van Nistelrooy’s time in charge ended with Leicester becoming the first top-flight English team to lose nine consecutive home games without scoring, their relegation confirmed by a 1-0 defeat to Liverpool on April 20.
“I would like to personally thank the Leicester City players, coaches, academy and all the staff I have worked with for their professionalism and dedication during my time at the club,” Ruud told Leicester’s website.
With the search for a new head coach underway, all eyes will now be on how Ayew and Fatawu adapt to the next chapter at the King Power Stadium.
Both players are expected to be central to Leicester’s rebuild as they aim for an immediate return to the Premier League.
