AshantiGold SC are officially back in competitive football and will compete in Zone Two of the 2025/26 Access Bank Division One League, marking their return after a two-year suspension.
The Obuasi-based club was sanctioned and demoted in 2022 for their involvement in a match-fixing scandal during the 2020/21 Ghana Premier League season — notably a compromised fixture against Inter Allies.
Now reinstated, the former Ghana Premier League champions will look to rebuild their legacy and push for promotion in what promises to be a fiercely competitive Zone Two campaign.
Their return completes the 16-team lineup, which includes newly promoted Police National FC, Ebusua Dwarfs, King Faisal, and Elmina Sharks, among others.
The Division One League kicks off on September 26, 2025, and will run until May 11, 2026.
