AshantiGold players received $47 per player following their victory over Great Olympics in the Ghana Premier League on Saturday.
24-year-old midfielder Yaw Annor fired a cracking effort to register the solitary goal of the game for the Miners who secured their third win in their last 5 league games.
According to Kumasi-based reporter Obiri Yeboah on Asempa FM’s SportsNite show, players of the Miners were paid GHS350, an equivalent of $47, as a winning bonus for beating Olympics.
The victory has moved the Obuasi-based side further away from the relegation zone after amassing 35 points in 26 games.
