Ashanti Regional Sports Director assures Black Princesses of maximum support in World Cup qualifier

Ashanti Regional Director of the National Sports Authority Emmanuel Kojo Appiah has assured the Black Princesses of his support to ensure they win the second leg FIFA U-20 World Cup qualifier against Senegal.

“We welcome you to the Ashanti Region. This is your home. We have hosted the men on several occasions and they haven’t lost so I believe the luck will shine on you in the last game.

“You were here for the WAFU and went home with the trophy. Kumasi will come out in their numbers to support you to victory. We will do our part to get the fans, surrounding schools to come to the stadium.

“We will keep the stadium in good shape to host you on Sunday and I know you will deliver a good game. We wish you the very best and I believe in the girls to make it to the World Cup.

The Black Princesses were at the Baba Yara stadium during the ongoing Ashanti regional Milo games, as part of efforts to garner support in their last game against Senegal in the FIFA U-20 women’s World Cup qualifier.

The Black Princesses go into the return fixture with a 2:0 advantage after defeating Senegal away.

Ghana will host Senegal on Sunday, January 21,2024 at the Baba YARA Sports Stadium in Kumasi.
