Asantehene pledges GHC1.5 million to boost Kotoko recruitment for new season

Asantehene Otumfuo Osei Tutu II has reaffirmed his commitment to Asante Kotoko SC with a GHC1.5 million pledge to support player recruitment ahead of the 2025/26 season.

The Life Patron of the club made the generous commitment, reported by Kessben Sports, to help the Porcupine Warriors rebuild and strengthen their squad for a more competitive push in both the Ghana Premier League and continental competitions.

The fund is strictly for acquiring top-tier players as the club seeks to bounce back from a disappointing campaign and return to the top of Ghanaian football.

Beyond the transfer support, Otumfuo also has long-term plans to transform the Adako Jachie training complex into a modern, world-class facility; a move that signals a broader vision for sustainable development at Kotoko.
