Asante Kotoko withdraw from GHALCA top six

Asante Kotoko have withdrawn from the GHALCA top six competition, the club confirmed in a statement.

The pre-season competition, which is organized to ensure adequate preparations for clubs, will kick off on August 14.

The teams to participate in the tournament are Medeama, Bechem United, Karela United, Great Olympics and Hearts of Oak and Asante Kotoko who have now pulled out.

“We have this afternoon written officially to GHALCA, informing the welfare body of our decision not to partake in this year’s Ghalca Top Six tournament”

“Our decision was purely based on sporting reasons” A statement from the club reads.

The Poccupine Warriors gaffer, Prosper Ogum resigned from his post on Wednesday after ten months.
