Asante Kotoko will find shape by end of first round – Kwesi Appiah

Technical Director of Asante Kotoko. James Kwesi Appiah is positive the team will improve by the end of the first half of the ongoing 2023/24 Ghana Premier League season.

Prosper Narteh Ogum, who has returned for a second stint with Kotoko, has signed over ten players for the club as he seeks to clinch the league title.

But it has not been smooth sailing, with two wins from six matches this campaign. However, Appiah is optimistic the playing body will come good.

“The players are now adapting to the tactics of the coach. There is no way that all of a sudden, you have a new coach and new players so it will take time because they are all from different clubs so they will need time to understand each other but I believe it will take time to get there,” the 65-year-old told Asempa FM.

“I am sure at the end of the first round, the team will shape up,” the newly appointed Sudan head coach added.

Asante Kotoko are in 7th on the Premier League table with 9 points and will face Bechem United in their upcoming match at the Baba Yara Stadium.
