Ghana Premier League giants Asante Kotoko will leave for South Africa today ahead of their much-anticipated Toyota Cup showdown against Kaizer Chiefs.
The match is scheduled for Saturday, July 26, at the Moses Mabhida Stadium in Durban.
The 2025 Toyota Cup is a high-profile friendly aimed at fostering stronger ties between two of Africa’s most iconic football clubs.
The clash also serves as a vital part of Kotoko’s preparations for the 2025/26 Ghana Premier League season and their CAF Confederation Cup campaign.
Kotoko will travel with a 25-man squad as they gear up for what promises to be a symbolic and competitive meeting with the South African side.
The Porcupine Warriors are expected to arrive in Durban at dawn and will hold a few training sessions before matchday.
