Asante Kotoko have confirmed the arrival of right-back Samuel Asamoah from Bofoakwa Tano.
He penned a three-year deal that will keep him at the club until 2026.
The 23 year old had a sensational campaign with Bofoakwa Tano last season, playing a pivotal role in helping the Sunyani-based side secure Premier League qualification after a 16-year absence.
He made 18 appearances with five assists.
The ex-Bofoakwa Tano standout now joins Prosper Narteh Ogum’s defensive strengthening, joining the ranks alongside Yahaya Dawuni, Nanabeyin Amoah, and Ansu Henry as the fourth signing.
“This is a great step for me because it has been the club I have always prayed for, and to be here finally means a lot.
“I know fans of Kotoko do not take their number-two position lightly because of names like Frank Amankwaa, Aziz Ansah and Amos Frimpong, but I will be ready to do my best to be remembered like these legends” he said during his first interview with the club.
