Asante Kotoko shows interest in Great Olympics’ Benjamin Asare

Asante Kotoko has shown interest in signing Great Olympics goalkeeper Benjamin Asare.

The Porcupine Warriors terminated the contracts of goalkeepers Danlad Ibrahim and Moise Pouaty who among the 11 players exiting the club.

Asare is seen as a suitable replacement to compete with Frederick Asare for the number one spot.

The 31-year-old shot-stopper was outstanding for the Wonder Club despite the club’s inability to retain their status in the Ghanaian top-flight in the ended season.

Asare ended the campaign with the most clean sheets – 16 clean sheets in 34 games.
