Former Ghana international Bernard Dong Bortey has urged Asante Kotoko to complete the signing of Hearts of Oak duo Daniel Afriyie and Mohammed Alhassan ahead of their CAF Champions League campaign.
Afriyie and Alhassan have been key cog for Samuel Boadu this season despite failing to defend the Ghana Premier League title they won last season.
However, the pair has played an instrumental role in qualifying the Phobians for the MTN FA Cup final as they seek to defend their title.
“Asante Kotoko should sign striker Daniel Afriyie and defender Mohammed to strengthen their squad for the CA Champions League campaign”, Bortey told Oyerepa FM.
Kotoko were crowned champions of the 2021/22 league champions last Sunday at the Baba Yara stadium following a 3-0 win over relegated-Elmina Sharks.
The Porcupine Warriors won their 24th title with a three matches left to play after a 1-1 draw with Ashanti Gold in Obuasi.
Coach Prosper Narteh Ogum’s side will play in the 2022/23 TotalEnergies CAF Champions League as Ghana’s sole representative in Africa’s flagship club competition.
