Interim Management Committee member (IMC) of Asante Kotoko, James Kwesi Appiah says his outfit are not keen about winning the Ghana Premier League title at the end of the season.
The Porcupine Warriors after shambolic start to the campaign, improved tremendously to finish third in the first half of the domestic top-flight campaign.
The Premier League bounces back this weekend and Kotoko will travel to face Heart of Lions in the week 18 fixture.
“From the middle part of the first round up to the end, the team was performing well because they’ve now gotten to know themselves well. We didn’t start the season on a good note but we will learn from our mistakes and ward off complacency and make sure we go all out in the second round”
“I will not say that we will win the league, if we win it’s a plus but nothing spoils if we don’t win because Otumfuo want us to build a team towards the future”
Meanwhile, the Ghanaian giants has clinched their first title of the season after beating Nsoatreman FC 2-1 to win the maiden J.A Kufuor Cup last Sunday at the Baba Yara Stadium.
