Asante Kotoko midfielder Justice Blay to miss the rest of the season due to injury

Asante Kotoko will miss the services of Justice Blay for the rest of the season due to injury according to a report by Kickgh.

The former Medeama SC midfielder underwent successful knee surgery on Wednesday and is expected to return within two to three months.

The 27-year-old suffered a horrible knee during Asante Kotoko’s training session ahead of their Ghana Premier League match-week week 24 game against Hearts of Oak.

Blay has managed to make seven appearances for the Porcupine Warriors after sealing a two-year move to the club from fellow Premier League outfit Medeama SC during the GFA’s second-round transfer window.

He has joined Isaac Oppong and young goalkeeper Abdul Rafiu Yakubu in Asante Kotoko’s treatment room.

Meanwhile, Asante Kotoko will be hoping to return to winning when they host Legon Cities in the matchday 26 games at the Baba Yara Stadium on Sunday.

Kick-off is at 15:00GMT.
