Asante Kotoko legend Opoku Nti urges players to eschew complacency

Asante Kotoko legend Opoku Nti has advised the current players to do away with complacency following their resurgence in the Ghana Premier League.

The Porcupine Warriors has shaken off their dismal start to the 2023/24 campaign, recording a back to back wins in the Ghanaian top-flight against Medeama and Legon Cities respectively.

They followed with a 4-2 victory over Nations FC in the FA Cup on Tuesday.

Before this, the Ghanaian giants had suffered three straights defeats in the domestic top-flight.

With 16 points, the Porcupine Warriors find themselves in the 8th position after 12 games into the season so far.

However, Opoku Nti, a former CEO of Kotoko has urged the players not to be complacent following recent impressive performance.

“The players should not be complacent but they have to keep on working very hard to win the league. They are getting in good condition and they are gelling now.”

Kotoko will host Berekum Chelsea for their next league game on Monday, December 4 2023.
