Asante Kotoko fans should be patient with ‘under-fire’ Prosper Ogum – Karim Zito

Former Asante Kotoko player, Abdul Karim Zito has called on the club’s fans to be patient and support under-fire head coach Prosper Narteh Ogum.

The Ghanaian giants are now on a four-game losing streak in the Ghana Premier League, the latest coming against city-rivals, Nations FC who beat them 1-0.

This has caused a lot of uproar among the club’s fans some of whom are already calling for his sacking while the club has also reportedly given him three games to save his job.

Karim Zito, the Dreams FC coach, has now come to his colleague’s defence, calling for patience in Ogum’s rebuilding of the club.

“The IMC expressed their intentions very clearly before the start of the season that they are rebuilding,” he told Akoma FM.

“Although the team is currently rebuilding, but the fans, regrettably, are goal-oriented, however, I’ll beg the supporters to be patient with the coach, after all, this is the same coach who dropped three or four games at the start of the season and later bounce back to a winning streak, and that’s football for you.”

Asante Kotoko currently sit ninth on the league log when they were third five match weeks ago.
