Champions Asante Kotoko have completed a deal with another Cameroonian attacker to augment the attacking prowess for the club as they gear up for the upcoming Africa campaign.
Alain Akono recently ended a year spell with CS Chabab Mohammedia in the Moroccan Botola Pro.
He also had good stints with Azam FC in Tanzania.
The 26-year old is a workaholic goal poacher with so much exposure around the gulf region in addition to experience in the Malaysian super league with Sembilan FC and Negiri FC respectively.
He was part of the Indomitable Lions CHAN team in 2019 after an impressive run with Fortuna du Mfuo but was unable to make the final cut for the tournament after a suspected hamstring injury plagued him.
He is seen as a direct replacement for his countryman, Franck Etouga Mbella.
