Asante Kotoko manager Seydou Zerbo bemoaned his player’s lack of focus after their stalemate with Tamale City in the betPawa Premier League on Wednesday.
The newly promoted outfit held the defending champions to a 1-1 draw at the Aliu Mahama stadium.
Defender Issah Nyaabila scored an own goal in the 83rd minute to give Asante Kotoko the lead but substitute Babamu Ibrahim capitalized on a sloppy defending in the box to smash home the equalizer three minutes later.
“We have drawn three consecutive matches and this is individual mistakes from the defense play. We were leading and six minutes to the end of the game we loss concentration and they had the equalizer” A visibly frustrated Zerbo told reporters after the match.
The result takes Asante Kotoko to the 3rd spot with 20 points – one point adrift of leaders Aduana FC and one ahead of arch rivals Accra Hearts of Oak who play on Thursday.
