As the MTN FA Cup semi-finals loom, Asante Kotoko’s interim head coach, Abdul Karim Zito, is gearing up for a challenging battle against Berekum Chelsea.
The last four teams in this season’s competition will compete this weekend at TnA Stadium in Tarkwa, vying for a coveted spot in the final.
The semi-final action kicks off on Saturday, May 10, with a clash between lower-tier teams Golden Kick and Attram de Visser Sporting Club.
On Sunday, May 11, Asante Kotoko will face Berekum Chelsea in what promises to be a fiercely contested encounter.
In a pre-match interview with AKSC Media, Coach Zito expressed respect for his counterpart, Berekum Chelsea’s Samuel Boadu, recognizing the tactical prowess that makes Boadu a formidable opponent.
“This won’t be an easy game—it’s going to be very tough,” Zito admitted. “I know what he’s capable of as a coach. It’s been a while since we lifted this trophy, so we’re hungry to win, but I know it’s going to be a difficult challenge.”
With both teams eager to advance, the stage is set for an intense showdown as Kotoko aims to overcome Chelsea’s resilience and secure their place in the MTN FA Cup final.
