Asante Kotoko are closing in on the signing of Bibiani Goldstars captain Charles Gyamfi Kamara, with reliable sources confirming the player has received a proposal from the Porcupine Warriors.
Kamara, who played a key role in Goldstars’ historic Ghana Premier League title win, is yet to officially respond but is believed to be considering the move.
He featured in 26 league games this season, scoring once and providing an assist, and was instrumental in their dominant 4-0 victory over Accra Lions to seal the title.
Despite interest from two Serbian clubs, Kamara reportedly prefers a move to Kotoko, a club he has long admired and dreamt of playing for.
Fresh reports indicate that Kamara was in Kumasi on June 10 and visited Kotoko’s secretariat, where he was presented with a three-year contract offer.
The proposed deal includes attractive terms, and indications are that both parties are nearing an agreement.
A final decision is expected soon, as Kotoko aim to strengthen their squad ahead of the new season.
