The Ghana Football Association’s Disciplinary Committee has charged Asante Kotoko over the conduct of their supporters following a Ghana Premier League fixture against Dreams FC.
The charge stems from incidents that occurred after the conclusion of the 2025/26 league encounter.
According to the GFA, some Kotoko fans harassed, threatened, and attempted to physically attack match officials.
The Disciplinary Committee considers such conduct a serious breach that could undermine match officials’ safety.
Asante Kotoko have been officially notified of the charge and are expected to submit their response by Friday, December 19, 2025.
The club now faces possible sanctions depending on the outcome of the disciplinary process.
Incidents of crowd misconduct have become a growing concern in the league, prompting renewed calls for stricter enforcement.
The GFA has reiterated its commitment to maintaining order and protecting match officials across all competitions.
