Asante Kotoko board member Evelyn Nsiah has made a passionate appeal to their fans ahead of the second leg of their CAF Champions League preliminary stage clash against RC Kadiogo.
The Porcupine Warriors are set to host the Burkinabe giants at the Baba Yara Stadium in Kumasi on Sunday.
The Ghana Premier League champions recorded a 1-0 win over Kadiogo in Cotonou over the weekend.
Isaac Oppong’s late goal was enough to hand Kotoko a slim first leg advantage.
Speaking in an interview with Kumasi-based Nhyira FM ahead of the return fixture, Evelyn Nsiah charged the club’s supporters to fill the stadium with their presence and cheer their club to victory.
“What I am scared of is the fact the second lef is taking place at our home ground because if you’re not lucky and they (Kadiogo) score one, we could be in trouble” she said.
“So we should be able to fill the park, so then we the supporters will be regarded as the twelfth player on the day. We congratulate the players, management and the technical team. They have all some extremely well”
Asante Kotoko are aiming to reach the group stages of the CAF Champions League for the first time in 16 years.
