Asante Kotoko assistant coach David Ocloo eyes revenge against Karela United

Asante Kotoko assistant David Ocloo says his side will be seeking revenge against Karela United after suffering a 2-0 defeat in the FA Cup Round 16.

The Porcupine Warriors were eliminated from the Cup competition weeks ago after falling short to Karela United.

Ahead of their meeting in the Premier League this weekend, Ocloo says his will give Karela United a good run for their money at the Naa Sheriga Sports Centre.

“They knocked us out of the FA Cup so we are going there to give them a good run for their money” he said.

Asante Kotoko are second on the Ghana Premier League with 32 points after 19 games into the campaign.

The Ghanaian giants are trailing league leaders Samartex by three points and cannot afford to drop points this time.

The record league holders are now contenders for this year’s Premier League title after shaking of their difficult start to the campaign.

Meanwhile, Kotoko will take on Ivorian giants Asec Mimosas today in the 2024 President’s Cup at the Baba Yara Stadium at 4pm.
