Former Ghana captain, Asamoah Gyan has disclosed that what he loves about teenager Felix Afena-Gyan is his willingness to give everything on the field of play.
Speaking to Citi TV in an interview, the ex-Leon Cities FC poster boy said he was impressed with the output of the rising AS Roma star during the clash against Nigeria last month.
“They shouldn’t put that pressure on the boy. It’s too early to make that comparison. He’s a very good player.
“He’s [Afena-Gyan got pace, passion. I saw the game against Nigeria in Kumasi. He was more passionate, he wanted to give something to the people, and that’s what he did. He knew what he had to do,” Asamoah Gyan shared.
The Ghana legend continued, “After the game [in Kumasi], he had cramps. When a player has cramps, it means he gave everything. That’s what I like about him but he needs a lot of movement.
“When I was like him, I was doing the same but I had to learn a couple of movements.”
Felix Afena-Gyan currently plays for AS Roma in the Italian Serie A. He is already adored by fans and has been tipped to become a star in the not-too-distant future.
