Expressing his belief in the transformative power of engaging the youth through sports, Gyan envisions a future where the collective efforts of sports legends contribute to increased focus, enjoyment, and attractiveness of sports, ultimately fostering unity reminiscent of past glory days.
Embarking on this journey himself, Asamoah Gyan extends a humble invitation to fellow sports legends to join forces in revitalizing the nation’s sports scene and reclaiming the camaraderie and enthusiasm that defined earlier eras.
“I believe the time has come for Legends in sports to come together and use their influence, network and resources in attracting investors into our country and make a meaningful impact on our youth in the sports fraternity I.e football, boxing and other athletics. I strongly believe that engaging our youth and grooming them through these avenues can get them to be more focused, make sports more fun and attractive and eventually bring us together once again just as it use to be in past. I have started this journey and I humbly invite all my colleagues to join in this cause in reclaiming our football days” The former Sunderland striker wrote on X.
