Asamoah Gyan breaks silence on his post about Inaki Williams

Asamoah Gyan says he didn’t mean Black Stars midfielders were selfish to give Inaki Williams pass but it was confidence some of them lacked during the September friendlies.

Gyan believes Ex- footballers like Sulley Ali Muntari and Kwadwo Asamoah had an unfazed character when facing top sides in a football match.

Otto Addo’s side lost heavily lost 3-0 at the hands of Brazil in their first pre-World Cup friendly before securing a narrow win over Nicaragua.

“I mean some of the players don’t have that confidence Sulley Ali Muntari and Kwadwo Asamoah,” Gyan told Kessben Sports.

“Is not that they don’t want to give him [Inaki Williams] a pass, but they have to take risk and distribute the pass to him, but they are not able to take the risk.”Gyan added

Gyan was a key member of the Ghana team that participated in the World Cup in 2006, 2010 and 2014.
