Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta has expressed his satisfaction with Partey’s performances this season.
The Ghanaian has put behind him his injury struggles from past years, starring for Arsenal in the Premier League and Champions League.
The Ghanaian played a huge role in Arsenal’s semi final Uefa Champions League finish, helping the Gunners to a last four finish – automatically first since 2009.
Reflecting on Partey’s season in his pre-match conference ahead of Southampton, Arteta said
“Consistency wise, this has been his best season. The way he has played, performed, his availability has been exceptional.”
Arsenak secured their place to next season’s Champions League with a hard-fought victory over Newcastle last weekend.
