Arsenal and Tottenham star in Team of the week 35

Another week of the Premier League has been and gone, and while we said goodbye to Norwich for next season, there is still plenty to play for.

Wins for Arsenal and Tottenham kept the hunt for the final Champions League spot interesting, while a third straight win for Burnley continued to propel their attempt at a great escape and survival this season.

But who stood out most for their sides over the weekend’s action? 101 take a look at the Team of the Week.

GK: Jordan Pickford (Everton)

Pickford bailed his side out time and time again against Chelsea, including making one of the saves of the season to deny what seemed a certain goal. England’s no.1 continues to show his worth to the Toffees.

RB: Marc Cucurella (Brighton)

You’ll have to allow the creativity when it comes to positions on this one, but we couldn’t leave out Cucurella, who has quietly become one of Brighton’s star men this season. Bombing on from the left side of a back 3, he was instrumental in their comprehensive win over Wolves.

CB: Rob Holding (Arsenal)

The absence of Ben White led to another start for Rob Holding, and he certainly paid back the faith shown in him. The Englishman netted the opening goal, his first in the Premier League, and made some vital blocks and clearances in a massive win for the Gunners.

CB: Cristian Romero (Tottenham)

Two tackles in quick succession set up the Tottenham second, and his no-nonsense approach to defending has already made him a fan favourite. Another top performance from the Argentine.

LB: Nathan Ake (Manchester City)

In the absence of Ruben Dias and John Stones, it fell to Ake to hold the Manchester City defence together, despite playing infrequently since his big-money move from Bournemouth.

And the Dutchman rose to the occasion, nodding in a second for City as they eased past a fiery yet toothless Leeds United side.

CM: Josh Brownhill (Burnley)

Burnley’s attempt at a fairytale escape continues in the post-Sean Dyche era as they made it three wins on the bounce under Mike Jackson. Central to the fightback was Josh Brownhill, who netted the winner and helped take what could prove a vital three points.

CM: Yves Bissouma (Brighton)

A man playing out his final games for Brighton ahead of a seemingly-certain summer move, Brighton fans should be savouring every moment of another top-class performance. He capped a brilliant performance with a goal at Molineux.

CM: Juan Mata

It seems to have only taken Manchester United all season to be reminded of the class that their Spanish playmaker brings. Now beyond his best, he still put in a brilliant performance in what was his final Old Trafford performance.

RW: Phil Foden (Manchester City)

Is there anything that the young England Cityzen can’t do? After performing brilliantly against Real Madrid, he was once again on top form against Leeds United. Providing a pair of assists, including one for free-scoring Gabriel Jesus, he is keeping Jack Grealish watching on as he shows no sign of labouring.

LW: Heung-Min Son (Tottenham Hotspur)

Chasing Mohamed Salah in the goalscoring charts, Heung-Min Son did himself the world of good by adding another two to his tally for the season against a leggy Leicester City. He continues to produce the goods for Spurs season upon season.

ST: Eddie Nketiah (Arsenal)

When Arsenal looked devoid of new ideas, Eddie Nketiah has injected new life into the Gunners, leading from the front with energy and pace. Though he did not get on the scoresheet, his work against Kurt Zouma was key to picking up three points.
