AFC Bournemouth manager Andoni Iraola has hailed Ghana striker Antoine Semenyo for his continued rise after the forward inspired a 3-1 comeback victory over Fulham in the Premier League on Friday night.

Semenyo delivered a stellar second-half performance at the Vitality Stadium, netting twice to overturn Fulham’s lead before turning provider for Justin Kluivert’s stunning strike. His match-winning display not only lifted the Cherries to second on the table but also underlined his growing influence in English football.

“He is a player with confidence; he is growing every season. He has earned his way to the Premier League and is improving and improving,” Iraola said. “He is adding things to his game. I hope he can get even better. It’s not just about the goals, it’s about how much he helps the team.”

The brace takes Semenyo’s tally to six goals this season, a reflection of his sharp form heading into international duty.

His performance will be a huge boost for Ghana coach Otto Addo as the Black Stars prepare for a decisive round of 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifiers against the Central African Republic and Comoros later this month.
