Ghanaian forward Antoine Semenyo scored a crucial goal for AFC Bournemouth in their 2-1 victory over Manchester City in the English Premier League on Saturday afternoon.

Semenyo opened the scoring in the 9th minute, finishing off a well-placed cross from Milos Kerkez to give Bournemouth an early lead at the Vitality Stadium.

The hosts maintained their advantage as they went into the half-time break.

In the second half, Bournemouth continued to press, and their efforts were rewarded in the 65th minute when Brazilian international Evanilson found the back of the net, extending the lead to 2-0.

Manchester City managed to pull one back in the 82nd minute, with Josko Gvardiol scoring to give the visitors a glimmer of hope.

However, Bournemouth held firm, securing a well-earned victory over the defending champions.

Semenyo’s impressive performance earned him the MVP award with an 8.4 rating from sports website Flashscore.

The 24-year-old has now been involved in five goals this season, contributing four goals and one assist.

The victory moves Bournemouth up to eighth place in the standings, with 15 points.
