Ghanaian forward Antoine Semenyo has been in sensational form for Bournemouth this season, finding the net six times and becoming one of the Premier League’s most talked-about players.
Manchester United and Tottenham reportedly made moves for him last summer, but Bournemouth stood firm, refusing to part with their rising star.
“I don’t think about it too much,” Semenyo told Sky Sports. “I try to stay present as much as I can. You see the news all the time, I see it as well, I’m not oblivious, but I try to keep focused.
“I’m enjoying my football here. If I’m not scoring goals, all of that goes away. I try to stay present, do the best I can for the team, score goals and whatever happens in the future happens.
“I wasn’t too sure at the start but we’ve kicked on like a house on fire. I’m glad I committed to staying here because I’m enjoying every moment.”
Semenyo is only second to Manchester City’s Erling Haaland for goals scored in the Premier League this season, notching up three assists in the process.
His side, Bournemouth, take on Manchester City over the weekend, as they look to hold onto second place in the Premier League.
