On Thursday night, Annecy FC and Toulouse clash in the second semi-final of the Coupe de France.

The home team’s league and cup form has been a contrast, as Annecy are currently fighting relegation from Ligue 2, just two points above the relegation zone.

Their recent form has done little to ease the fears of relegation to the French third tier either, as they head into this clash on the back of a four-game winless run, including three defeats.

However, when it comes to the Coupe de France, Annecy are now unbeaten in their last ten games over 90 minutes.

In the last three rounds, the home side has needed penalty kicks to progress in the competition. Their most notable win was eliminating Marseille in the last round after a 1-1 draw.

The visitors are in midtable in Ligue One after a poor recent run of results in the French top-flight. In fact, they head into this game on the back of five defeats in their last six league matches.

Last time out, they suffered a 3-1 defeat at Brest. Despite the poor recent run of league form, Toulouse are still nine points clear of the relegation zone.

The visitors have been impressive in the Coupe de France of late though, winning their last four games in the competition against Lannion, Ajaccio, Reims and Rodez.

One of the key factors to those victories has been their ability to find the net, as Toulouse has scored at least two goals in all four of their recent victories.

Toulouse are also unbeaten in their previous four matches in the Coupe de France, having recorded three wins in 90 minutes and one in extra time.

What does Forebet predict?

Forebet predicts that Toulouse will continue their excellent cup form by recording a victory in a high-scoring encounter.
