The Stars failed to take all three points against the Nile Crocodiles but are still top of group I on goal difference ahead of the Sudanese.
Annan told KickOffGhana.com that while it was a disappointing display, it was more important to pick up the pieces and move on.
“We have to move on to the next game. Even though we did not win, we are still on top of the group which is important at this stage.”
Annan called the result ‘very bad’ and says it was the last on the thoughts of the players before the game.
But he reckons too many missed opportunities let them down and says it all makes qualification for the 2012 Nations Cup a lot tougher now.
“It has become a little bit tough we simply have to win our next games and make sure we do well,” he added.
