Andre Ayew scores as Al Sadd advance to Ooredoo Cup semi-final

Andre Ayew was on target as Al Sadd qualified for the semi-finals of the Ooredoo Cup despite losing to Qatar SC in their final Group A match on Friday.

The Ghana captain opened the scoring early in the game but Al Sadd threw away a two-goal advantage to suffer a 3-2 defeat at Qatar University Pitch 4.

The result meant that Sadd finished second behind Umm Salal, with nine points from three wins.

Ayew has two goals and an assist in 7 appearances for Al Sadd this the season
