Ghana star Andre Ayew believes he made the right decision by joining Le Havre on a free transfer.
The 33 year old returns to Ligue 1 eight years after his departure from Olympique de Marseille, where he played 209 games and scored 60 goals, winning a French championship title and 3 League Cups.
So, inevitably, a return to France was subject to a few conditions for the Black Stars skipper.
Ayew cited the enticing project, the coach, ambition, sporting director Mathieu Bodmer, and the overall staff as crucial factors in his decision.
“I wanted to go back to France. I had opportunities. But if it wasn’t OM, I wasn’t going to look at many places. Here, there is the project, the coach, the ambition, Mathieu Bodmer, the staff… We had been talking for a long time. I analyzed their matches and when I see the atmosphere, I tell myself that I made the right choice. I can’t wait” he told Canal +.
