Former Techiman City president Charles Kwadwo Ntim believes Andre Ayew is close to finding a new club ahead of the January transfer window.
The former Black Stars captain has been without a team since leaving French side Le Havre at the end of last season. The 35-year-old has been training with Nania FC, a club owned by his father, Abedi Pele, to maintain his fitness.
Speaking on Asempa FM, Ntim said Ayew looks sharp in training and could complete a move soon.
“I have watched Andre Ayew train with Nania FC, and he looks fit. I can say on authority that Andre Ayew is likely to join a new club in January.”
He also suggested that a return to the Black Stars remains possible if Ayew stays fit and secures regular football.
“If Andre Ayew joins a new club in January and stays fit, he is likely to make the Black Stars squad for the World Cup.”
Ayew has not played for Ghana since the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations in Ivory Coast.
