Andre Ayew has chalked another career milestone after becoming Ghana’s most capped player ever.

The Black Stars captain reached the landmark after leading Coach Otto Addo’s side to a 2-0 win over Switzerland in a final pre-World Cup friendly on Thursday.

The 32 year old moved one clear of Asamoah Gyan’s tally of 109 caps to become the outright leader in appearance (110) for the senior national team.

The Al Sadd forward posed for a photo with the entire squad after the match to celebrate the noteworthy achievement.

Andre Ayew made his senior debut in 2007 and has scored 23 goals for the the Black Stars, including a record 10 goals at the Africa Cup of Nations.

He is set to lead Ghana at its four ever appearance at the global showpiece in Qatar.

The Black Stars will kick off their World Cup campaign against Portugal November 24, followed by Group H games against South Korea and Uruguay.
