All Stars coach Ahmed Nurudeen is failing to blame Sunday’s Ghana Premier League loss to Hearts of Oak on poor officiating.
The Wa-based club were dealt a raw deal in the 32nd minute when referee Reginald Lathbridge committed a horrendous mistake by awarding a penalty after Uriah Asante went tumbling in the box.
Television replays showed it was an obvious slip by the 19-year-old.
Laryea Kingston stepped up to coolly slot home for Hearts’ first – opening the floodgates for the thrashing but coach Nurudeen says the loss goes beyond the referee’s mistake.
James Abban and a superb volley by Sadat Karim wrapped up a 3-0 victory.
“I think our tactics did not work well, we did not play according to plan,” he said.
“It was clear the penalty was not a penalty but I don’t think that is why we lost.
